Heather McLean » Mathematics

Mathematics

Heather McLean is the head of the Math department this year at LPA. This is her fourth year at Legacy and has loved working here. She went to the University of Utah and earned her degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Education. She also minored in Disability Studies.

Ms. McLean really enjoys working with middle school students, as they are so full of energy! She loves seeing her students complete a problem they did not think they could do. The light bulb moment is why she teaches.

When not at school, Ms. McLean is a competitive Highland Dancer, this provides her with an opportunity to travel which she loves to do as well. She hopes to, one day, travel to Scotland and compete there.

CPM E BOOK ACCOUNT CREATION

Dear Student,

Welcome to your first night of math homework. Tonight's homework is not too hard, but VERY important. You will be creating your CPM account and getting your e book.

Step 1: Find and log in to a computer

Step 2: Get onto the internet (not internet explorer)

Step 3: Go to sso.cpm.org

Step 4: Click Enroll

Step 5: Enter Class Code RAS3J

Step 6: Create account

Step 7: Type in your first and last name

Usernames must be at least 6 characters long, all lowercase, no special characters, and not an email address.

Step 8: Type in an email.  Use your Legacy gmail account.  Student emails are encrypted. That means CPM will never know a student's email address or password in plain text.

Passwords must be at least 8 characters including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number. All passwords are encrypted. CPM will never know your password in plain text.  If you forget it, click “Forgot Password” on the sign in page.  You will be sent directions for resetting your password. (This is why they need your email.)

Step 9: Click the GREEN 'Register' button.

Step 10: Scroll down and click the agree button (read it if you want)

Step 11: Explore your new e book. If you have any problems now is a good time to email your math teacher.
