This year's district hearing screenings have been scheduled for December of 2018 and January of 2019. If your child will not be participating in this screening, please fill out the bottom of the letter and return to the school as soon as possible. 2019 Utah Assessments Updates

Dear Parents, The SAGE test has been replaced with the updated Legislative changes which requires a Utah Standards Assessment for grades 3-8 and a High School Assessment for grades 9-10. As the existing SAGE contract expires two new vendors, Questar (3-8) and Pearson (9-10), have been selected to design the assessments. The SAGE test has been replaced with the RISE test and grades 9-10 have been adopted into Utah ASPIRES PLUS. *Please see the below attachments of frequently asked Questions (FAQ)

Required Child Abuse Information & Training

During the 2014 General Session of the Utah Legislature a bill was passed mandating all schools to provide training and instruction on child sexual abuse prevention and awareness to school personnel in elementary and secondary schools and to parents or guardians of elementary school students. The bill is now part of Utah Code and can be found in UCA 53A-13-112. Also, in 1999, Utah’s “Duty to Report” law was put into effect requiring all Utah citizens, age 18 and older, to report suspected child abuse and neglect.
